Hi, Amazing People,

Hope everyone is having a great day. If you follow me on Instagram, you would know that this recipe has been available for more than a week. I am catching up on my blog posts *hides face*. I often get asked how I combine all I do, and my answer is always the same “some days/weeks are better than others”. I learn to take it one day at a time, keeping in mind love drives all I do. Without boring you with long stories, let me tell you a little about this recipe.

I grew up knowing you cook oats in milk or water. That was my stereotypical association with oatmeal until I realized how magical this food can be in the kitchen. Honestly, every single time I want to throw in a wildcard to my food, oatmeal is my first option. Today is certainly not an exception. This recipe combines oatmeal, banana and melted chocolate. I used ice to thin out the consistency, but you can use water or milk, and it still comes out great. Before I forget, this smoothie fills you up! You will think you had more than a cup of smoothie for breakfast.

Ingredients

1) Ripe Banana – 2
2) Melted Chocolate – 2 Tablespoons
3) Oatmeal – 2 Tablespoons
4) Ice – 2 cubes, or Water/Milk – 1/2 cup

Tip: Notice how all the measurements are in twos, I did that to make it easy to remember – you’re welcome

Steps

1) Add bananas, chocolate, oatmeal, and ice/water/milk, to a blender
2) Blend until consistency is smooth
3) Pour out into a cup or bowl
4) Garnish with sliced bananas and chocolate, or however you like it to be.
