My Amazing People,

It's been a baking festival in Winie's kitchen. If you follow me, on Instagram, you will understand why.

I enjoy pastries in the morning with my coffee or as a snack at other times of the day. However, you and I know that the money adds up if you keep buying every day.

Today, I'm sharing a simple Pound cake recipe. One very important thing about this cake is that you can store outside the fridge for about 5 days and it will still be amazing. If you live in an area where electricity is a problem and you love cakes as much as I do, you'll love this recipe.

Oh, I sound like a broken record but this is definitely an "Easy Student Recipe".

1) 2 cups of flour
2) 2 sticks or butter (1 cup) - room temperature/soft
3) 1 cup of granulated sugar
4) 1/2 teaspoon of salt
5) 1 teaspoon of baking powder
6) 1 tablespoon of vanilla extract
7) 1/2 cup of milk
8) 4 eggs

Loaf Baking Pan (Buy Now)

1) To a big bowl, add the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder and stir with a wooden spoon or spatula.

2) cut the butter into small cubes and add to the mixture in step one. With your fingers or an electric mixer, gently mix the butter with the other ingredients.

3) In a separate bowl, add the whisked eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Whisk together and add to the dry ingredients in the big bowl.

4) With a wooden spoon or electric mixture, stir the mixture until all the ingredients have combined to a fluffy mixture.

5) If you have one of those amazing cake mixers, layer all the ingredients with dry ones at the bottom and the wet ones above, and stir at low to medium speed for about two minutes intermittently.

6) Using butter or a cooking spray, oil a loaf pan/baking pan/foil pain. Afterward, lightly powder the oiled pan with flour.

7) Preheat the oven at 350F - 400F (175C to 200C).

8) Pour cake batter into the pan and bake for 60 to 65 minutes

9) The cake is baked when a tooth pick is inserted and comes out clean.

10) ENJOY!
